danny....the media is there as a safeguard so no atrocities that happen will go unreported....i don`t think it bodes well for the iraqi people that the media is being extracted...the media is embedded in american units so they can report the absolute truth...there is no other reason for saddam to remove the media than to do things he doesn`t want the world to see....and then ,maybe,shift culpability....the media is his assurance that the coalition tows the line....this does not bode well for the iraqi people...

You cant really believe that. The media DOES NOT have 100% access to anything they want to carry. They have even admitted that. All our military has to do is say " that would aide the enemy". Our country committing atrocities would fall under this umbrella.
Saddam SHOULD kick the media out. Do you think for one second if the shoe was one the other foot, we wouldnt do the same ?

danny,you know the media is the watchdog....the whole world is watching(as you said yourself).....why kick them out?.....he`s kicking them out,not us....what doesn`t he want them to see?.....believe me,if you understand that the world is against us,why isn`t their media?.....it`s just not the u.s. covering this war(although a good portion of our own media hate this administration)....it`s global.....

Yeah, I'm all sorry now that the military and government buildings are being obliterated. Gosh. Gee. Golly. Though I do not want the repressed civilians killed in all honesty, and of course the US is doing everything possible to minimize those casualties. Not that a lot of you anti-war fellas will believe anything anyway.
